Stablecoin payouts united states are now a practical option for many finance teams. US recipients already expect fast domestic credits. The Federal Reserve reports that the Fedwire Funds Service originated 217.3 million transfers in 2025, worth about US$1,148 trillion.
Stablecoins give you a settlement asset, and a licensed local payout partner converts it into a normal local credit. The recipient never needs a crypto wallet. They simply receive dollars in their bank account or on their card.
This guide covers why US payouts matter, how the domestic rails work, where cross-border payments get difficult, and how Yativo handles the last mile.
Why Businesses Pay Out to the United States
Each payout flow ends the same way: a credit on a domestic rail. The ACH Network alone processed 35.2 billion payments worth US$93 trillion in 2025, while Fedwire originated 217.3 million transfers.
Nacha notes that about 93% of American workers already receive pay through the ACH Network. Same Day ACH alone reached 1.45 billion payments worth US$3.92 trillion. USDC converts to USD 1:1, though fees still apply.
How Local Payments Work in the United States
Yativo’s active gateways for the United States each have a listed settlement time. POBO gateways require a POBO endorsement on the account before use.
Fedwire
Fedwire is one of Yativo’s active gateways for the United States, gateway ID 1371, settling in under 30 minutes. Alternative Fedwire gateways are available as gateway ID 761 and gateway ID 185, both settling in under 30 minutes. For a deeper operational walkthrough, see US Fedwire payouts.
ACH
The ACH Network processed 35.2 billion payments worth US$93 trillion in 2025. Yativo’s lead ACH gateway is ID 1372, with settlement in under 30 minutes. Alternative ACH gateways are ID 760 and ID 194, also under 30 minutes. For background on the network, read ACH payouts explained.
Bank transfer and card rails
Some recipients prefer a plain bank transfer or a card credit. Yativo supports USD Bank Transfer, gateway ID 1362, settling in under 30 minutes. Pay2Card, gateway ID 891, and PayCard (Visa), gateway ID 892, push dollars to debit cards, up to USD 10,000 per payout.
The Challenges of Paying the United States from Abroad
Small payments carry heavy relative cost. Sending small amounts across borders costs an average of 6.36% of the amount sent, according to the World Bank. For a monthly contractor fee, that percentage is felt directly by the recipient.
Recipient expectations are set by domestic speed. US recipients already clear money through domestic bank rails at massive scale, from ACH’s 35.2 billion payments to Fedwire’s 217 million transfers.
Timing matters to the person receiving it. A payout that takes days can feel slow next to a domestic credit. Check the settlement time for your chosen gateway before you promise a date.
POBO access needs setup. POBO gateways require a POBO endorsement on the account. Arrange that before your first run rather than during a live payment.
How Stablecoin Payouts to the United States Work on Yativo
Yativo uses stablecoins as a settlement layer, not as the recipient’s experience. You fund a balance, request a quote, and a licensed local payout partner pays the recipient locally. The recipient receives a normal local credit and never needs a crypto wallet.
- Fund your float balance. Top up with USDC or with fiat, depending on what your treasury prefers. The balance is what you draw from for each payout batch.
- Request a quote. Request a quote before you commit to the payout. USDC converts to USD 1:1, and fees still apply.
- Choose the rail and enter recipient details. Select the gateway that matches the amount and urgency, then add the recipient details.
- The licensed local payout partner pays locally. A licensed local payout partner pays the recipient locally on the selected rail.
If you want the mechanics of conversion first, read how to convert USDC to USD. For rail-specific steps, see US ACH payouts.
Yativo’s active gateways for the United States cover Fedwire, ACH, bank transfer, card payouts and POBO options. Lead gateways are Fedwire 1371 and ACH 1372, with alternative gateways also available. POBO gateways require a POBO endorsement on the account and settle on T+1.

Any gateway with POBO in its name requires a POBO endorsement on your account.
Your recipient does not need a crypto wallet. They never see or touch stablecoins. On their side, the payment looks like a normal local transfer.
How to Send Stablecoin Payouts to the United States with Yativo
Option 1: Dashboard (for manual payouts)
- Fund your Yativo float balance with either a fiat or a stablecoin deposit, such as USDC.
- Go to Transfer in your Yativo dashboard.
- Select the float wallet you are paying with, for example USD, EUR, MXN or whichever balance you funded.
- Choose the customer you are paying on behalf of. This step is necessary for fintechs that run payouts on behalf of their customers.
- Choose the United States as the destination and ACH as the payout method.
- Enter the recipient details the payout form asks for, such as the holder’s name, ABA routing number, account number and account type.
- Enter the amount in USD.
- Review the quote: exchange rate, fees, delivery time and the exact USD amount your recipient receives.
- Confirm with your PIN and 2FA.
- Track the payout in real time and download the receipt for your records.
Option 2: API (for automated and bulk payouts)
Every endpoint below is in the Yativo API documentation. Production calls go to https://api.yativo.com/api/v1, and the sandbox runs at https://smtp.yativo.com/api/v1.
Authenticate every request with the X-Api-Key and X-Api-Secret headers. Each key only works from the server IPs listed on it. These keys replaced bearer tokens, as covered in our October update. Every POST also needs a unique Idempotency-Key header.
Step 1. Generate a USDC deposit address on Solana to fund your balance:
POST https://api.yativo.com/api/v1/crypto/create-wallet
X-Api-Key: $YATIVO_API_KEY
X-Api-Secret: $YATIVO_API_SECRET
Idempotency-Key: c4d1a8fc-e7ab-5772-98d8-91266ca1781e
Content-Type: application/json
{
"currency": "USDC_SOL"
}
Step 2. List the payout methods available for the United States:
curl "https://api.yativo.com/api/v1/payment-methods/payout?country=USA" \
-H "X-Api-Key: $YATIVO_API_KEY" \
-H "X-Api-Secret: $YATIVO_API_SECRET" \
-H "Accept: application/json"
In this example, ACH carries gateway ID 1372. Always read the ID from the live response instead of hardcoding it.
Step 3. Fetch the required fields for that gateway:
GET https://api.yativo.com/api/v1/beneficiary/form/show/1372
X-Api-Key: $YATIVO_API_KEY
X-Api-Secret: $YATIVO_API_SECRET
The response lists every required field and its accepted values. Build your payment_data object from it. For field details, see API documentation.
Step 4. Create the beneficiary. Replace the placeholder with the fields the form returned:
POST https://api.yativo.com/api/v1/beneficiaries/payment-methods/
X-Api-Key: $YATIVO_API_KEY
X-Api-Secret: $YATIVO_API_SECRET
Idempotency-Key: da1bba9c-3dca-571e-ad4e-3768773cd5b7
Content-Type: application/json
{
"gateway_id": 1372,
"nickname": "Austin contractor team",
"currency": "USD",
"customer_id": "e8caa491-57b6-4c39-9e3a-d2c97e47fbf0",
"payment_data": {
"{field_from_form}": "{value}"
}
}
Step 5. Request a quote. USDC to USD is 1:1, and the quote shows fees and the final amount. Quotes hold for 5 minutes:
POST https://api.yativo.com/api/v1/exchange-rate
X-Api-Key: $YATIVO_API_KEY
X-Api-Secret: $YATIVO_API_SECRET
Idempotency-Key: 1e751726-7ace-5e2b-a464-9d31cc954be6
Content-Type: application/json
{
"from_currency": "USD",
"to_currency": "USD",
"method_id": 1372,
"method_type": "payout",
"amount": 500
}
Step 6. Initiate the payout from your balance:
POST https://api.yativo.com/api/v1/wallet/payout
X-Api-Key: $YATIVO_API_KEY
X-Api-Secret: $YATIVO_API_SECRET
Idempotency-Key: fa756761-3bcc-591e-959c-16475207be05
Content-Type: application/json
{
"debit_wallet": "USD",
"amount": 500,
"payment_method_id": 48301,
"customer_id": "e8caa491-57b6-4c39-9e3a-d2c97e47fbf0",
"quote_id": "4a72ecf8-6c8a-4e38-9971-8aabe9f785ed"
}
Use the id from the beneficiary response as payment_method_id. For bulk runs, repeat the call per beneficiary, as described on our payouts page.
Comparing Ways to Pay Recipients in the United States
| Method | Speed | Cost profile | Recipient experience | Best fit |

| Exchange withdrawal | Depends on the exchange | Varies by exchange | Requires a crypto-capable recipient | Crypto-native recipients only |
Best Practices for Paying Out in the United States
Choose the gateway that fits the payment. Check its settlement time before you commit. Pay2Card 891 and PayCard (Visa) 892 push dollars to debit cards, up to USD 10,000 per payout.
Collect recipient details carefully. Confirm the details with the recipient before the first payout. Store them once and confirm any change directly.
Keep a float balance ready. Fund your balance before a payout run so each batch draws from a ready source. Top up with USDC or fiat, depending on your treasury preference.
Tell recipients what to expect. Share the amount, the rail and the settlement time listed for that gateway. That keeps everyone aligned on when the credit should land.
Plan for POBO if you need it. POBO gateways settle on T+1 and require an endorsement on the account. Set that up before your first run rather than during a live payment.
Check the quote before each batch. USDC converts to USD 1:1, and fees still apply. Review the quote so you know the cost before you confirm.
